I mean, as a 22-year old, white, pretty, BEAUTY PAGEANT CONTESTANT, I feel like I must "be true to myself" and say I only think marriage should be between a man and a woman. However, a better time to ask me this question and get a more thoughtful and respectful answer would be in about 25 year when I am the mother of a wonderful gay son, or the divorced woman from a great, albeit gay, man. In the meantime, I will just say that I am against anything that takes away anyones basic human rights. And that includes marriage." Now really-don't you think she is just an idiot???

A good example of an answer that would have won the competition for her would be: "This is a difficult question for me, as I am a heterosexual, white, 22 year-old, BEAUTY PAGEANT CONTESTANT, raised in a born-again household. Therefore, I feel I cannot answer this with any credibility at all. Ask me again in about 25 years when a brother or cousin has come-out, and I find myself the mother of a wonderful, incredible, beautiful gay son. Then my answer will have much more relevance and credibility to everyone." Now, Em, that answer would have won the title for her.
