He's At It Again

In doing some book proposal research, I came across this email sent to author Martha Beck from some good LDS folk.

"From what I've read, you've been through the temple, you've experience all that we have, you KNOW what REALLY goes on and you know the truth... You're an idiot Martha, just because a couple of people offended you, doesn't mean that all Mormons are that way. You're small minded and very selfish. I will smile the day you burn in hell for all the lies you've made up. You must really be friends with Satan, oh wait no, you must be screwing Satan - is that it? Is he promising you salvation if you write this book and screw him? Shame on you Martha, you know better." (Nathanael & Melissa S.)

Wow. I love this couple sitting down at their computer and oh-so-self righteously blasting her about the temple and truth then completely pulling out of their butts, in a most Christlike way, the thought that she (or anyone for that matter) is screwing Satan! Eeew!

Well, I'm here to tell you - I dated Satan. Several times, as a matter of fact, and in several different forms. Being screwed by him does nothing. It's not good, he refuses to take off his silly red underwear claiming it is the source of his power, he is fat and sweaty, doesn't stop giggling, never follows through with his promises and basically only leaves you with humiliation and a burning sensation when you pee.

I guarantee that Martha Beck didn't screw him to get her book published. If it really worked that way, my book would have been finished and out long ago.

Screwing Satan. I am SO sure!

Amazing what they say using the "cloak" of righteousness. It amazes me that they can't see how hateful and vicious that is--and then turn around and call themselves "mormon" or Christian. That makes us all just want to run right back into the fold . . . I'd prefer to be "under the influence of satan."

I agree with cl2. It's not just Mormons of course (though Martha Beck was one, so there you go with who'd say that) but that kind of intolerance and evil behavior makes me worry about people who call themselves "Christian". I do, and I know very well I have to ward against such stupid, wrong behavior. I hate holier than thou enough it keeps me in line.
